Back patio fireplace location thoughts

Working on house plans and we want a fireplace on the back patio. Below is what our draftsman put together. I wouldn’t have thought about putting it in one of those outside corners. I think it makes sense here because it allows for more windows in the living room. Thoughts?

That’s what I would go with. Looks good.

this. Moving it to the center of the back porch would obstruct more of the view of the back yard. i like the corner placement

Where you have it looks like the best spot. Another possibility to look at is a built in fire pit. I was advised against a fire place, although they look nice I was told they don't give off much heat.
My area is uncovered so a fire pit works nicely. We can sit 6 and everyone can feel the heat.
Maybe a huge brick fire pit in the middle with a cupola roof in your covered area might be something to consider.

I have a back 25x25 back patio and I put mine in the center and I hate it. It does exactly what the other poster said. It obstructs the view from the back yard. I can’t see the kids playing and it will really suck if we ever put a pool in.

Which direction is north?
This is the biggest question.

Front of the house is north. The patio faces almost directly south.

Nvm. Wind age is good.
