It really wasn't bad at all. Our flights were only ~$550 pp out of our local regional airport.

That is another reason we got one for the kiddo, although it was kinda a waste of money since he spent very little time in his own seat. Still glad we did it though as it would have been awful for the person who got stuck in the row with us if we only bought 2 seats.
