Nah they fricked up the script from the get go. Making Jake the center point of the movie was dumb as hell. Should've just based it on the Gunslinger. Would've been great.

What? The issue was a disaster of a script that incoherently tried to cram 7 books into a 90 minute film.

Adapting a single book into a movie is hard. Adapting 7 into a movie, I don't know what they were thinking.

They should have either had a home run script ready for all 7 or limited the movie to one book. You could make a good movie from just the Gunslinger and go from there if there's demand.

We could build a time machine and find vintage Clint Eastwood and place him in this movie and it would still be just as terrible. It was 100% the script that was the problem.
