The trailer looks really good. The reviews have been positive.
I'm not the biggest fan of Michelle Rodriguez, but Viola Davis and Colin Farrell will more than make up for it.

Wife wants to see it. I think she gets mad when I call it a chick/heist movie.

Well it is but tell her at least they took a chance and came up with a different name.
It could have been called
Heat
Or
In Heat
Or
Heist
Or
Inside Woman
So at least it's trying to be original

Looks good...kind of worried they are going to go with some lame twist of one of the husbands being alive though.

Peter Travers:

McQueen is eons away from the lightweight farce of Ocean’s 8. In a reality divorced from Hollywood fantasy, action can have deadly consequences.
[Worth mentioning that he also gave Oceans 8 a positive review]
I've never been sold on Viola Davis, but I'm clearly in the minority. She always seems more self-serious than actually serious to me. Melodramatic instead of actually dramatic. But that opinion is subject to change.

Amazing ensemble cast. I’m intrigued and will probably check it out

Explain the appeal of this movie?
Women, who have no history of crime, all the sudden band together to defeat a group of hardened, lifetime criminals?
Looks like another "women are better than men" type movie.

You're missing the important plot point where I believe they're doing it to avenge their men who were killed.

I agree with you about Viola Davis. She almost has a Meryl Streep vibe where she seems like she's a great actress but you can always see her thinking about acting instead of just seeing the character.

Little disappointed to be honest. Mainly because the story was unbelievable - as in, it was too ridiculous to believe.
Lot of closeups of people's faces. A few interesting cinematography tricks. Acting was good all around. Story just left a lot to be desired.
I don't know how Elizabeth Debicki's breasts are so large on her tiny, 8-feet-tall frame, but I love them.

she was strangely attractive as a golden alien.

That was a very average movie.
The breast scene kept it from falling below average.

I am a big fan Gillian Flynn so I have High hopes for this but the trailers make it look pedestrian at best.
