I need to watch S5. I actually enjoyed S4 more than most did, and the first three seasons are amazing (first two especially).
I watched the show some as it aired, but not on my own...it was at some friends' house and they loved it. I could always tell I would like it, but was sort of lost since I hadn't seen any of it. When I eventually watched it years later, I absolutely loved it. Glad they keep revisiting it with new Netflix seasons too.

The Remix version they did which basically reordered the scenes and episodes from being focused on individual characters through the arc of the story to now being structured like previous seasons moving in roughly chronological order helped a ton. It made it go from just ok to pretty pretty good.
As for season 5, they only released half of it, but that half is really really good.

I remember the first time I saw it. I was in a hotel room in DC, August 2005, and caught a rerun. George Sr, Lindsey, and GOB started calling Michael a chicken and doing their insane dance. I lost it and have been a huge fan ever since.
