Should Congress have term limits?

Nope. We have elections.

Progs should be limited to terms of 0 years to avoid the march to socialism.

Feel that way about President or Governors?

Founding fathers did not intend to have an entrenched ruling class. Personally I think not instituting term limits was an oversight on their part.

I do. I've also gotten use to disappointment.
Don't forget mayors, btw.
Sometimes I wonder about Sheriffs having term limits - but I also wonder why we're voting for law enforcement to begin with.

Yes, one reason why Trump was elected. Also one very big reason the deep state is fighting so hard to get Trump out. If he ever gets term limits in, the deepstate's gravy train of under the table power and money is over. No more getting in office, setting up a money laundering foundation, and becoming a millionaire from being in office 40 years.

Yes.
But unfortunately it will never happen.

Initially, I’d say yes.
I still think I’d say yes, but only if a former Congressman/Senator was forbidden from lobbying for at least 6 years.
If we were to impose term limits... I’d say that a term limit of 18 years fungible between both the House and the Senate would strike a good balance between keeping career politicians out while avoiding the problem of serving in office as a springboard to lobbying.

1 term and done. Get stuff done and go back to work like the rest of us.
No lifelong salary or benefits.
98% of all problems with the government would be solved instantly.

I am for it. 3 terms for Senators and 5-8 terms for Congress.
But would have no problem with 2 terms for Senators.

I think they were a bit shortsighted here unintentionally of course. I've thought about this before and tried to reason what it was like when these decisions were being made. Watching admittedly way to many documentaries as well as reading the historical texts it was quite a large endeavor to be elected.
If look at someone like John Adams and the YEARS it took him to get anything done with the time for travel and correspondence to make it anywhere. As well as having what was probably a small pool of people educated enough to hold these positions lead them to leave off the term limits.
Just my thoughts on it. Not sure the forefathers could have imagined email and jet planes which would have likely swayed their thoughts as things could theoretically get done faster...
Notice I sad theoretically. If you watch the John Adams HBO miniseries it seems they got things done then at the same place we get them done now.
