Perkins was dating Tarver's daughter and he was Tarver's boy from the beginning. Perkins and the daughter split and Tarver pulled his support and was bashing Perkins recently.

I believe Glover is behind Perkins. There's some bad blood that's developed between Glover and Tyler since her first election. The assumption last year was that he was going to run for Mayor again but ultimately decided not to.



The run off comes down to
A) Where Steven Jackson's votes go
B) Who takes the Taliferro/Savage voters


Turnout is of course going to be lower and there's going to be some white voters who don't even participate. I don't care to vote for either one of them so I'm not sure I'll bother. But I don't discount a rebellion vote against Tyler by people fed up with crime. Perkins wins this one.
