Maybe recruiting the best from Texas is the way to beating Bama! Welcome aboard Courtland!

That is why we need Herman to keep Hermaning and be known as a Goof who won't win the big game and Jimbo to be stuck in neutral and beat the Faggies! A down A&M and UTa helps.

Coming into Cedar Hill (dallas) and getting a big time recruit is huge. Oklahoma and Texas usually run the show in this area.

Yes. Getting a foot in the door at Cedar Hill would be big.

Ford is the type of OT we desperately need.

Recruit mostly tackles and let the ones that lose the battle for the OT positions play guard like Collins did for us before he moved out to Tackle later.

Recruit a minimum of 3 Tackles every class sometimes 4.

I would only recruit a hs guard if he is top 5 or 10 type elite like Kardell Thomas because most of the time a hs guard does not have the footwork and speed to play OT in the SEC.

I would recruit mostly OT with an OC thrown in here and there.

We have way to many guards on our current roster.

yep.

OL's are built from the outside in. I'd venture to say with very few exceptions:
1. every good OT is a good OG
2. not every good OG is a good OT

The strategy of recruiting more OTs than OGs follows the law of basic common sense.

Granted, some OGs are just too good to pass up like Vadal (or K. Thomas for that matter). And if we recruit someone to be a "blocking TE", which for 13 years they have all been, they should have the frame for putting on pounds and being tried at OT.

C's are a whole different matter.
