Hanny actually made a good comment on Dabo the other night on his show. He said there’d be too much pressure for Dabo to try and follow Sabans footsteps because that’s what the fans will be expecting. He already has the 2nd best program in the country and they are pretty much guaranteed to be in the playoffs every single year so why would he leave that to go and try and be the next Nick Saban? When he doesn’t have as much success as Saban, the fans will want him fired. Even a 10-2 record wouldn’t be good enough for the fans

Yea well, remember they were set to announce Rich Rodriguez, the press conference was scheduled, before even thinking about Saban

I have full confidence they can make a shitty hire

When he dies they will stuff him with feathers and he will still get 10 win seasons!

Trust me, I hope so too.. I'm tired of these fricks winning because their talent swamps everyone else.

He has Tua back at QB next year so they will be great again. If he wins National Championships the next 2 years then I can see him retiring.

There is only 1 reason he would leave any sooner. He wants another shot at the NFL. Likelihood for that is about 1%.

I agree that it's very unlikely at this point. I think that ship has sailed due to his age. He's got it too good at Alabama to start over in the NFL at this point.

We can't live our lives waiting out that motherfricker's retirement. We've got to get a big time O.C. that knows how to compete against that prick. These circus clowns ain't even close.

Terry sure as hell doesn’t want him at home all the time.

I dont think Mrs. Terry is walking through that door. Just saying, there's more to life than football.

That's the one slim hope that I have of Saban's retiring sooner rather than later, his wife. She may assert herself at some point. I'm sure she believes there's more to life than football, unlike Saban.

Hugh Freeze or Kendell Briles. One of those as OC given a free hand to do their work would make me very happy.

You always hear rumors about his health, potential to coach an NFL team, etc.

For me, I think he wants to cement his legacy as the greatest of all time at Alabama.

That means having more national championships than Bear Bryant. Bryant had 6 (61, 64, 65, 73, 78, 79). Saban has his five at Alabama (09, 11, 12, 15, 17) and one at LSU. However, I think he clearly wants more than Bryant at Alabama, so he will not retire until he gets at least two more national championships there. That is his drive.

He is over 100 wins behind Bryant and is eight conference championships behind Bryant as well. I do not see him staying around long enough to catch up to those numbers. Bryant coached for 25 season at Alabama, this will be Saban's 12th season at Alabama.

If hes going to coach that long

LSU fans need to insist we get him back on our sidelines.

Deep down, his first true love is LSU...
