That is a real head scratcher....

A Change Research poll revealed that Democrat Mike Espy leads at 40 percent, while McDaniel has 28 percent and Sen. Hyde-Smith has 27 percent of the vote.
Change Research, a Democrat polling firm, suggested in a tweet on Monday that Espy will advance to the Senate runoff election, although it remains unclear whether his opponent will be McDaniel or Hyde-Smith.

A whole lot of people believe that CM got fricked in the last election. And the establishment republicans did the fricking. Simple as that.
I’m not saying that they’re right or wrong but people remember that shite.

Not good at all for Republicans if McDaniel makes the runoff.
Republican party in MS to be honest has really fallen apart to be honest with retirements and what not. The old DC power brokers are too far removed is the problem but also where MS power base lies its a tough decision. Bryant should have just put Tate Reeves in the seat and be done with it.

No, I get that.. It did happen. Thadd lost to McDaniels but did not get to 50%. McDaniels had 49.5%?
In the Runn off, Thadd turned to the dems to get them to vote for him. Buses....

I very seriously doubt this.
October polls had Hyde-Smith up +23 on McDaniel. Just 2-3 weeks ago.
Either way, Espy loses badly in the end and this stays a Republican seat. And that's all that really matters.

If MS is not careful, we will see the guy in Jackson run for GOv and WIN.

No!!!
That's bad fricking news for the GOP.
McDaniel is toxic, a piece of shite and will give the senate seat away to democrats.
C'mon Mississippi don't fall for McDaniel's bullshite. Put Hyde Smith in there and keep that seat in good hands.

I'm not so sure. Like I said, he handily beat Thadd. Seems to be popular.
But... either way...

What????
The two people running for governor are Lt. Gov Tate Reeves (R) versus a very strong (D) by Ms standards in Attorney General Jim Hood. I do not know if you are talking about mayor new afrika in Chwoke Lumumba or whatever or Bennie Thompson but neither I can gurantee you are running for governor. But Jim Hood is a good ole country boy from north MS not Jackson.

When I read this, I text my people in MS.

Not if it's McDaniel as he is absolutely toxic and basically the Mississippi version of Roy Moore.
He's bad news and will give the seat away to democrats if he's in the runoff.
These repeat shitty candidates need to go the frick away. McDaniel already tried in 2014 and voters chose nursing home Thad over him.

I'm not referring to this election. You do understand that I know it's too late for a person to get on a ballot considering the election is tomorrow.
I'm saying simply be careful not to give a strong hold to the left. The mayor of Jackson is FULL BLOWN socialist and is popular there.

Trump endorsed Hyde and she has the support of basically all the republican players in the state and she voted for Kavanaugh.
That's good enough for me aseptically against a loser like McDaniel.

Yep. It was dirty. And it’s still leaves a sour taste. CHS is from here in my town. We know her. She is now, and always was a dem. I don’t gaf what anyone says. If she gets elected she will screw us sooner or later.
At least we know that espy is a filthy criminal and doesn’t even try to hide it. She’s a whole nother story. Backstabbing bitch.

I just don't see how he reverses a -23 deficit from 2-3 weeks ago.
Doesn't make sense. CHS is the bigger name come tomorrow when simple modestly informed people step in front of the machine.

So you're perfectly fine with giving the seat to democrats on the off chance CHS goes hardcore RINO even worse than Thad?
Is Trump endorsing her not enough for you?

quote:
Chris McDaniel leads six-term Senator Thad Cochran by a hair in Mississippi’s Republican Senate primary early Wednesday morning. Hours after polls closed, it is still too close to call. Both campaigns are watching anxiously to see if McDaniel crosses the 50% threshold to avoid a June 24 runoff.
With 99.5% of the vote in, McDaniel leads Cochran 49.6% to 48.9%, with minor candidate Thomas Carey taking 1.6% of the vote. McDaniel would be considered the favorite in a runoff, which tend to benefit candidates with motivated supporters who can make up for what is usually a steep drop-off in turnout.
Because McDaniel did not cross 50%, there was a run off. Thadd literally went to the democrats and made deals to get the votes from dems. Dems crossed over in the primary and voted for Thadd.

I know your not damn you are kind of slow, you said be careful the guy from Jackson runs for GOV, next gov race is next year. I then am telling you Tate Reeves is running against Jim Hood. The mayor of Jackson is yes a full blown socialist, he is very popular there. There is fricking JACKSON! He is not popular literally anywhere else in the state. I just was seeing if you meant Benny or Chwoke, I can see you went full retard and think Chwoke has statewide appeal got it.

Not in this case it’s not. Trump is doing great. He’s just listening to the wrong people on this one. Alabama has made him more careful. And yes I’ll take CM over CHS and the establishment republicans that screwed him. All. Day. Long. CHS is a lifelong Democrat and will continue to be one.

I have not researched anything about him personally. I just know what went down in 2014.
