All you guys on here 2 weeks prior to the Bama game was so concerned about people picking Bama to beat us. You said LSU is not getting any respect. But all of a sudden, you guys have no problem with being Nick Saban's Bitch

He tried to hire Kiffin and then Kendal Briles. Freeze is probably still too toxic for them, too (but at least that's sanction related, so I'm more understanding on that one.)

At a certain point, they're going to have to get creative enough (or hold their noses) to get a guy in who can keep Saban up at night worrying about our offense. As much as I love the guy, that ain't Ens.

This is the real problem yet no one sees it because of their negativity (on both sides of the fence).

Canada came in and all he preached was about building the program around the players we had. He didn't do that. He tried to implement the same exact system he had at Pit. There are a few things wrong with this.

1. Geographically in terms of conferences, the style of play is worlds different. What works in the ACC isn't going to work in the SEC. Teams are just built different.

2. You have to have the players for the scheme. You cannot run spread with the wrong personnel. Its the whole square peg / round whole scenario. We didn't have the receivers to run spread. People always think we have all-stars everywhere on the field. Last year, our receiving corps was really sub-par.

3. Time. This is what it boils down to. You HAVE to give your coaches time to implement their system and recruit around it.

Everyone around here is quick to pass judgement. Canada NEEDED recruits to fit his system. He needed 2-3 years. E needs the same time. He won't get it. Why would any offensive coordinator come here if he knows he is losing his job after a year. You can really tell how uneducated people are when it comes to football when they bitch and moan after a loss to probably one of the greatest teams ever and not see the issues we need to address to get to that programs level.

So who do we get? Briles? Freeze? If they come here, are they going to get the 3-4 years they need to get the recruits for their system?

Hey, O had a chance to hire Sterling Gilbert from South Florida (Formerly OC on the old Charlie Strong staff at Texas) but he felt that BBQ Buddy Enslinger (I know it's Ensminger) was a better fit.

BTW, I'll say right here and now that SE will voluntarily resign at the end of the season. He needs to return to coaching TE's, but is not the answer at OC at this level.

He didn't lie at all. There are no offensive coordinators out there to get.

The rantards have this fantasy that LSU is like the Field of Dreams. Ask them and they will come. lol. Its just not this simple. Do you HONESTLY think that E was O's first choice? Like I posted above, no one wants to come here when they know they have to beat Bama to keep their job and in most years, have to beat them twice.

People act like Bama is shutting out every team they play. Since 2016, so 2.5 seasons, Bama has shut out the following teams:

Kent State
LSU
Vandy
Mercer
LSU

It does no good to get the best coordinators if you don’t have the right players to run the scheme...

The Canada experiment failed....we tried it...it wasn’t good enough....the players couldn’t grasp the entire scheme...Bama had what we did do well figured out...

Why do you think Canada’s scheme was much more complex at Pitt....? Come on man...think about it...

O shut him down following the Miss State game. We didn't get the full Canada offense.

It was the most yards we gained on them since at least 2012. And we had several more opportunities with open receivers and missed them.

“No he didn’t”

I’m not gonna say the man lied. shite happens and the decision-making process can change. However, Coach O certainly implied that he was going to hire the best coordinators available. I don’t understand the thought process of anyone who feels LSU did by hiring Steve. And I really don’t understand how coach O can label coach E’s performance to this point in time as , “great”.

No matter what anyone thinks about coach O, good, bad, or indifferent, I think we all have to admit that the offense has been a disappointment over all to this point in time.

O shut Canada down because our players were not getting it....

He had to simplify the plays....they were making mistakes left and right...

Kind of like Traore at LT for the Florida game....

Traoré would block to the inside on a double team....meanwhile the guy lined up right to his left was running unimpeded right into Burrows chest...sacking him for a 10 yard loss....remember that? Why don’t these guys know what to do?
