Wife and I are looking for a VRBO in San Antonio between Christmas and New Years.
What areas of San Antonio do we need to avoid?
Any recommendations on "family friendly" area? We have a 4 year old.

I like the King William district, which has lots of historic homes, art galleries, and some BnBs. It’s about 15 min walk to the core downtown river walk area.

Its not VRBO, but my family with 2 small kids stayed at the Embassy Suites Riverwalk last year. We did Schlitterbahn, Sea World and a drive through safari along with the usual Riverwalk attractions. There are a couple of kids museums, attractions near the Alamo. A river taxi ride is a must.

Stayed 3 months in Southtown area near Tower of Americas and a couple blocks from South Alamo St. It was a great spot

We stayed at the Riverwalk Plaza last time we went. It was pretty nice and very affordable
