2 counts aggravated sexual assault of a minor... Don't see this having a happy ending.

Has he been officially kicked off the team yet? Because if not, now seems like a good time.

I think THAT is what the problem is to begin with

This could drag on for a few years. I doubt he'll ever be back.

I don’t know anything about his case, but an indictment =\= a conviction.
Obviously not good, though.

An indictment is not a conviction. In this country we are supposed to have a justice system that considers a person innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. That's not the way it works and the public acts as though an innocent person has never been charged for a crime they did not commit.

What timing right before the Bama game. The team doesn’t need this negative shite. Kick Ed off immediately and move on.

A grand jury does not determine guilt or innocence. It only determines if there's enough reason to prosecute.
I know nothing about this case, but there's always a long way to go between an indictment and a conviction.

he should transfer to Alabama and the charges will disappear

It's a grand jury, now it goes to trial. He is still innocent until proven guilty; God bless America.

Thank you. Goddamn let the man have his day in court before completely ruining his life.

At Alabama, he’d be playing this weekend.

Play him for Bama and then kick him off. The kid needs to know that there are consequences for your actions.
