Boot bama from the SEC

The more I think about it, the more it seems like a great idea.
There have been posts in the past about LSU leaving the conference. It shouldn't be the Tigers that leave. I think everyone (all sec programs) is so tired of the gump bias that the solution is to give them the boot.
It is not about being scared to play them either. Hell, we can schedule them as a permanent non- conf game We could lose to them every year and it would still be better than having to deal with the advantages they get from the conference. Let them go independent or join another conf. Let them be someone elses problem. We can take Texas or Oklahoma to replace them. I know there would be some financial fallout but I say let the chips fall as they may.

Bad idea.
They would feast on cupcakes and wait for the playoffs.
The problem isn’t Alabama it’s the SEC office bias.
Move it to Arkansas, they need all the help they can get.

This will be worse than my thread this morning. Thanks for taking the heat off of me

Be better if we just moved the SEC office out of Bama and banned them from hiring refs who live in Bama.

Great idea. Lets take one of the top teams out the SEC, and give the other conferences more of a reason think they are stronger than the SEC. I commend you on your passion for the post, but lets not speak out of our a$$e$

Hate to burst your bubble but..... Won't happen.

Ironically, Alabama being in the SEC gives the best chance at them not making the playoff every year, and yet it still happens.
If they played in any other conference, it would be a cakewalk.

This will happen same day Pelosi and Shumer become conservative Republicans.

I don’t want them booted from the SEC. I just want the NCAA to finally throw the Death Penalty on their cheating asses! There’s a reason they act like a pro team! It’s because they all getting paid!

Harvey:
Not going to happen. Alabama has more SEC titles than anyone. LSU is not leaving the SEC either. Personally, I wish they would, I have never liked being in the SEC and don't care for several states that we are associated with. That is a personal view. I will never go to games in Oxford MS or Tuscaloosa AL. Period.
The Economic reality is LSU is not leaving. The only way LSU could go is if they got Arkansas and Missouri to align with them. Each of those schools are R1 Universities (only 115 in the entire US, LA has 2 of them LSU and Tulane). The Big 12 has 8 of there current 10 schools as R1 (only Baylor and TCU are not). So academically, LSU, ARK and MIZZOU would have no problem. The question thus goes back to economics and the Big 12 Bylaws. Can those 3 combined with enough of those current Big 12 schools change the Revenue Model of the Big 12. Probably not since it would have already been done (Texas has lots of power there). Even if you could get Texas A&M to go with LSU, ARK and MIZZOU and make changes to the Revenue model of the Big12, you still have to deal with potentially playing Iowa State and West Virginia in November.
So LSU stays in the SEC and folks like me avoid as much as possible interactions with folks from schools like Bama and Ole Miss.

They could play Notre Dame 11 times and the series winner gets a playoff spot and a bottle of lube.

We usually don't get these threads until a couple of days before the game.
Scary to think how ridiculous things will be a week from now.
