quote:no one is trying flood your land. they are protecting areas where the majority of people.
they also arranged it to where now every camp south of the levees floods with a slight south wind.
quote:wait so you are upset your land is flooding when it is in a flood plain?
As we speak, our camp in Dulac has 3" of water over the property. this never happened before the levees.
quote:because if they didnt people like you would sue when they flood.
Plus, those frickers on the levee board can't wait to close flood gates at the drop of a hat
quote:well you are outside the flood protection system. you sound like the people that bought land in the spillway for dirt cheap then get pissy when the spillway opens and floods.
causing additional flooding for anyone unlucky enough to own below it.

why does the HNC need to be deepened?

I get both sides.
My camp is on the south side of Bubba Dove too, and places like Four Point have completely lost their value.
Most camps are high enough not to be damaged, but that doesn't help the vehicle you drive to get there.
With what I've seen in my lifetime from the barrier islands and the coastline, there won't be anything of value south of those locks when my kids are my age.
