Clemson fan here regarding targeting call

Just wanted to come on here and say you guys got hosed on the targeting call. Any LSU fans that think some may be overthinking it or just thinking that the SEC is conspiring to help Alabama, I have to say that I believe the SEC does their best to help push Bama towards the top and keep them there.
Look at the National Championship last year. Sure, Clemson got their butts kicked, but the year before when Ohio St didn’t win their conference, Saban was saying that if you can’t win your conference that you have no business in the CFP. The next year as soon as the conference championships were over it wasn’t 30 minutes until Saban was on ESPN via telephone making his case to be in the playoffs. Bama is catered to. Plain and simple. Look back at your game against them a few years back when you guys won 9-6. A game with no touchdowns. Just field goals. You beat them fair and square. How is Bama rewarded? Another shot at beating you, which they did. But now, you guys had played 2 games against each other and were 1-1. Who was really the better team?
Last year they didn’t even have to play or get to play for the SEC championship. Their failure to do what was needed to play for the championship shielded them from risking injury or another loss. They sat at home and healed with an extra weak while everyone else is out playing to stay alive.
I know you guys probably don’t have much respect for the ACC, but man! If we could get you guys and force Notre Dame to make a choice and become a full time member of the ACC we would have Clemson, LSU, Florida St (will not stay down long), Notre Dame, and Miami as the top teams. That is no difference than a top heavy SEC or any other conference. It may even change the landscape of football and have less recruits just having to play in the SEC even if it means they sit for 3 years.
Well, I am just rambling now in my first post. Good luck against Bama and make it happen. Put a few good hits on Tua and see if he is the same player after.

Collusion between SEC and TideTards are real..proved it in the MSU game.

I did not expect this to go well at first.
I was however, surprised.

Good read. I wish we could join you guys as well, and tell the cheating SEC to kiss our arse.

Big XII is a better fit IMO - and the Irish will never join a conference until someone makes them - but I like your thinking.

The Enemy of My Enemy is My Friend. You’ve come to the right place.

Where is the application for enrollment into the ACC? I'll fill it out and get it over to Joe for signatures.
But we have to bring ole miss. We need to continue to skill frick those assclowns yearly

After I’ve seen all the bias, I’m starting to think, ‘why stay in the SEC in the first place?’ I seriously doubt the ACC could put as much money in our pockets as the SEC, but I wish we could scare Sankey with a mutiny!
Frick the SEC!!!

This will play out exactly the same this year if we beat them.

How many members does the 500+ club have? This thread is definitely getting there.

I think it certainly wouldn’t hurt to consider the ACC. I couldn’t stomach the offense and no defense Big 12, I don’t think.

Welcome and solid post.
Other than the "Death Valley" thing and the "real tigers" thing, it's hard to dislike Clemson a whole lot. To be honest, I think the entire country is suffering from Bama fatigue, so we're all somewhat united on that front.
I'd wish you good luck next week (or any week for the rest of the regular season for that matter) but you really won't need it. I hope only one of us gets a chance to beat Bama this year, but if not, hope you take care of business.

I’m sure that’s the ‘consequence no agreement’ that Alleva left them with.
In reality, it’s time the SEC join forces to get the SEC headquarters overhauled and out of Alabama. Put them in Nashville or something and require heterogeneity.
