What are the realistic military options to stop the migrant invasion?

I seriously doubt our troops will fire on unarmed people, so that leaves us with rubber bullets and tear gas. What else is there?

If that were true, they could have stopped at any embassy or consulate to make their request along the way. If they survive a trip all the way through Mexico, clearly they aren’t in as mortal danger as we are expected to believe.

Nonsense to firing on them. All we have to is keep them in Mexico until Mexico gets sick of them. That means any that are actually caught crossing the border are immediately escorted back across and if Mexico dares to attempt to stop that, well they won't.
These idiots scatter when they see a pickup with twi ICE agents , what are they gonna do if they see a Humvee full of soldiers?

Doesnt matter who believes it, it is a legal process. Asylum claims have to be adjudicated. Why do you think Trump has been trying to get Congress off it’s arse to do something to correct the system.

bullshite, by international treaty asylum seekers are required to seek asylum in the first safe nation they can get to, AND they are required to follow the laws of that country, which means coming in through a port of entry AND means complying with notices to appear and such. LIke 4% of all invaders go to court and of those about 85% claim they need asylum and of those claims almost 89% are rejected because they have no claim of amnesty.
These assholes aren't seeking amnesty that's just something stupid liberals convince themselves of.
