Hats off to this poster taking the time to connect the dots and name the entities that make up The Machine aka The Houndstooth Family.

volnation

quote:

It is not about Alabama's success on the field. It is about a system that is insidious and incestuous, a tradition of unlimited power that trades unfairly on Alabama loyalty. In the Houndstooth Family, the will of a powerful few becomes the mandate for all. And you can take that - and all the public money that goes into it - to the bank. As long as you know which one.

quote:

The same journalist also dug into Bryan Bank. Bryant Bank is a cesspool of Alabama conflict of interests. Why did UAB?s football program simply roll over? The answer lies within Bryant Bank. How did boosters pay for Saban?s house amidst the Texas speculation? The Crimson Tide Foundation footed the bill. Who?s on that board? Same crew as the Bryant Bank Board. Check out the full article

What Alabama is doing to college football is way worse than what the Golden State Warriors are doing to the NBA. By far.

And let us not forget the Bunn family, donations, rape charges, and how you can buy the cops in Tuscaloosa for the right amount of money.

Simple solution to this if all teams feel this way. Either stop playing them altogether or go out there and make it as unwatchable as possible. Hell, put anyone that wants to show up on the field. Put former players, band members, grandpa Joe, have a guy out there in a T-Rex costume, etc... out there. Always a have to many players on the field, purposefully get penalty after penalty. Anything g you can do to make it as unpleasant as possible for viewers and the crowd.

Once no one is paying attention to Bama anymore, the empire will fall.

The argument has been made that Bama's football team is so good that going to such lengths as having corrupt SEC officials influence games in Bama's favor is unnecessary and therefore unlikely.

People that make that argument don't know much about Saban. Saban does what ever he can to stack the deck in his favor. He knows that even with a great team victory is never certain. So he will seek any edge he can get to better his odds. Like his close friend Belichick. The two guys that would meet in secret to watch film and talk football. Two guys that are obsessed with football and winning. Put nothing past Nick Saban.

Some people claim that when Saban was speaking at the Gridiron Club he would routinely say if you a'int cheating you a'int trying.

Alabama Football is basically the Clintons. Filthy to the core, but untouchable because of connections.

I've said all along that Ole MIss's problem was beating Alabama twice. Nobody cares about hookers as long as Alabama wins.

I don't know about the Machine, have heard of it and everyone knows Bama has boosters that would do anything. The real issue I have is the SEC office in Alabama and the fact that Bama grads routinely get hired for some impactful positions. That said I have not seen a holding call on Bama for about 7 years.

*OT ballas: please hire a PI I'd love to see what's in Steve's garbage and bank account.
