Fitzgerald escorted to sideline after fake targeting

What was the explanation for the refs walking Fitzgerald to the sideline like he had a concussion?
Is this overacting by the refs proof of premeditated action against LSU?

Fitzgerald was telling the refs he was fine, and they were like no sir, you just took a massive hit to the "neck area" or something.
Dude was out 1 play and that's because the refs made him.
Weirdest shite I have ever seen.

Not saying it was proof of premeditated action, but it was certainly proof that the refs were in CYA mode for making a horrendous call. Fitzgerald didn't seem to think it was a hit worthy of targeting.

I'll preface it with saying I don't usually believe in grand conspiracies, I do think Bama gets the benefit of the doubt way too often.
But, the refs looked like amateur actors in a bad play overacting like crazy. It was really weird.

This was all orchestrated. They had instructions to eliminate White/Greedy/Delpit or all of the above. Watch at least one more get thrown out of the 11/3 game if it’s in any way close, especially since they were able to get all the babbling idiots like Brando and Spears to call White’s ejection the correct call.

It was certainly bizarre. It looked like Fitzgerald wanted to stay in the game and the ref literally walked him to his sideline.

He looked dinged actually. Not from the hut but from his head snapping back when he hit the ground. Removing him was legit

It was funny watching the refs walk him over while he was like
He was out for one play, quickest concussion test ever

It was really weird....
Not a conspiracy believer, but the refs reaction in trying to sell Fitzgerald is what stands out as not passing the smell test.
Never seen an exchange between QB and refs like that and for Fitzgerald to come back in on the next play.
Would like to see video of the full exchange between Fitzgerald and salesmen in stripes.

It was bizarre. Not sure I've seen anything like that one before.

I think he took his helmet off because he thought it was a turnover and the ref made him sit out a play as a result.

Fitzgerald had to have said something to 'sell' the penalty. His helmet didn't come off (Fitz made more contact with Whites helmet with his hand than White did his), he layed there for a brief second and popped up. There was no reason for the refs to send him off other than he himself saying he was injured.

An attempt to justify or rationalize that BS call he made!

The call was one of the worst I’ve seen considering the ramifications. However, the SEC is better off with an LSU win v Bama. They couldn’t know this at the time but now they do. LSU wins v Bama. Then a one loss team will win the conference (Us, UGA, UF). That team is in an Bama gets their usual first round bye.
