Authorities in Texas are seeking the public’s help to identify a woman who left a 2-year-old child on a doorstep.
Deputies with the Montgomery County, TX, Sheriff’s Office said a 911 caller heard a knock at her door Wednesday and when she went to answer, found the abandoned child.
Surveillance video shows a woman arriving at the house in a white vehicle. She runs toward the doors with the child in hand, rings the door bell, knocks, and then leaves, police said.
The child was abandoned at the door with two bags. The incident lasted 23 seconds, police said.
The black female suspect is believed to be in mid-20s or early-30s, with long hair and tattoos on her right arm.
The uninjured child is now in the protection of Child Protective Services, the sheriff’s office said.

Houston Chronicle full story with pics

quote:
The woman – a friend of the child's mother – was apparently supposed to drop the toddler off at his father's house in the afternoon, said Lt. Scott Spencer of the sheriff's office. When that didn't happen, the father assumed plans had changed and left his residence.
The woman left the scene in a white passenger car. She hasn't spoken to authorities, but the sheriff's office now knows her identity, Spencer said. She was originally described as being in her mid-20s to early 30s.
Officials don't believe that she is on the run from the law at this time.

shite. Considering you have moms stabbing their babies and putting them in ovens, seems like this one got off easy. Sad world when that's the attitude, but there it is.

Sure enough, but abandonment issues are no joke.

Yeah but some couple out there who is begging for a child to adopt because they can't have one of their own will take this little boy in with open and loving arms.
And this fricking scum of the earth needs to sit in prison behind this. A woman who is okay with abandoning her child is the lowest of low, in my book.

OK. So not the kids mother. Guess that makes it better, but what the hell are the adults in this kids life doing?
And the father just ASSUMED plans had changed and didn't bother to check in on the child?

From the article the mom was in the hospital. She gave her kid to this "adult" who was supposed to drop the kid off at the dad's house. Dad wasn't home, so she just left the kid at a neighbor's house

"The mother of the child was in the hospital during the incident and was discharged this morning. She believed she was handing the boy to a responsible adult, Spencer said."
What a sick bitch this is. She was watching the child for a little while because the mother went to the hospital and she was supposed to drop the child off at the father's house. The father wasn't home so this woman just abandoned the kid at someone's house.
The father & mother will assuredly beat the ever living shite out of this TPOS when they find her.

That poor kid. He looks back at his mom like, “mom, where you going”? This video breaks my heart. How can you not have compassion for children? They’re so innocent and need so much love.
I will hug my little buddy extra tight when I get home tonight.

Maybe not....he's 2 and IF he gets adopted by a good family his life in the long run will be much better.
