Question about tracking baseballs, golf balls and tennis balls....

For the home-run derby they have the technology to track the baseballs that leave the park and can tell to the foot how far the ball travels...

Wouldn't last night's home-run ball, if it were tracked, help with the replay call?

FTW..I think they got it right...just more evidence would calm everyone's tits.

The tracking they do is based on launch angle, exit speed velocity, etc. It is a mathematical estimation on how far the ball would have traveled had it landed on the ground, so no it wouldn't have helped with the outcome of the call last night.

I wanna know how they can track volleyballs and tennis balls to see if they're in bounds or not but they still cant even have cameras on both sides of the endzone or something to see if the ball crosses the plane.
