Does this convince yall that the team isn’t looking ahead to Bama and they’re focused on beating State??

Their play will convince me one way or the other.

You'd think calling something a trap game all week would ensure it wouldn't actually be a trap game, but we've seen teams across the country still come out flat and get beat.

I think “looking ahead” is more of a mental thing than something you can control.

Just go out and play hard like they did against Georgia and they will be fine.

It’s called focusing.

This is a very ignorant assessment.

Of all the games so far this season, this is the one I'm most amped to watch. I know the GA game was bigger and the Miami game had all the pre-hype, but this is the game I really want to see us start to finish dominate.

Saturday night in Death Valley. They've called down the thunder. Well, they've got it.

This

The team was clearly fired up to play Miami, then followed that up with a lackluster effort vs. SLU. Same pattern repeated with Auburn and La. Tech.

Now part of that is just human nature. Plus, despite what O says, you can't convince me that LSU wasn't "holding back" vs. SLU and Tech.

Vs. Florida I think the team was fired up. I just think UF kicked their arse along both lines. UGA kind of let LSU off the hook a bit by abandoning the running game that showed signs of life.

State is going to try to wear LSU out on the ground and shorten the game in doing so. Even after UGA, LSU still has questions re: DL depth ---and those guys are about to get into a 3 straight physical battle.

LSU's best defense this week may be LSU's offense attacking and putting up enough points to make MSU get out of their comfort zone. I hope that the aggressiveness in the play calling that was there vs. UGA is there again this week. That means the OL has to be ready to strap it on again.

Having a bye week helps the looking ahead part.
