Replaced my o2 sensors today

Jacking the truck up and placing stands is what took the longest (20 min). Replaced the up and downstream sensors...parts cost $150.

A certain shop near my house quoted me $640. Thats bordering on fraud.

They typically get stuck on, and are a bitch to get off. Not as bad as collector bolts, but I've definitely resorted to Vise grips a couple of times. That's probably why the book charges that much time

have one or both break off and see how long its takes then. Mechanics don't charge how much based on a job going perfectly.

That said, 640 is too much for that job. Way too much.

My light has been on for a while, guess Ill have to give it a try. This thread reminds me of the shop in Laffy that quoted me $940 just to change my front brake pads. Yea frick that. Youtube became my friend with da quickness

You don't itemize exactly what the 640 is for. I suspect there is more to this story.
