I was bored browsing Instagram this morning and came across a couple of profiles selling classic soccer cleats. Got me thinking back to my youth playing days and all of the cleats I had so I spent the better part of my morning trying to find them all.

I was never a great player, but always loved having a new pair of cleats...still holds true today in my adult leagues.

Figured I'd start a thread recapping all of my cleats and just to have a place for general soccer equipment discussion. Hopefully we can keep this going as I am sure many of you play, have played, have kids that play, or all of the above. Should be good for nostalgia if nothing else.

My cleat history:

1) Nike Mercurial Talaria (picture is Vapors, but they looked identical). These were my first pair of "nice" cleats - couldn't believe I talked my parents into spending $90 on cleats for me.

2) Lotto Duel II - was really hard to find a picture of these.

3) Adidas F50

4) Adidas F50+

5) Adidas Predator Absolute

6) Lotto Zhero Evolution

7) Puma V1.06 Grass Camo

8) Puma V1.06 (Last pair of cleats I had for High School)

9) Diadora LX K Pro (bought these for college intramurals and loved them - wish I could find another pair)

This begins my most recent cleat obsession - joined a local adult league and can't help myself.

10) Puma evoPOWER Vigor 1

11) Puma evoPower Vigor 3D 1

12) Nike Premier II

13) Puma Future 18.1 Eclipse pack

14) Nike Tiempo Legend VI Motion Blur pack

Thanks for reading - please add your own

Best pair I ever had was a $20 pair of Filas.

Was playing in a tournament when the pair I had busted mid-game. Went to the nearest sporting goods store that night and got about the cheapest pair they had. Those things were so comfortable. Should have gone back and picked up a few extra pairs.

I forget Fila made soccer gear. Wonder if with their recent resurgence if they'll jump back in.

Comfort wise, I remember my F50+'s being insanely comfortable. I tried to get another pair but Eurosport sold out after I placed my order so they sent me the Predators instead.

Have you seen the recent Ronaldinho Tiempo remakes? They are absolute fire. Limited to 1000 pairs though.

I switched from these cheap adidas cleats to Nike Hypervenom cleats. I should have gotten them fitted because the Nikes were way too narrow. In 2 years of having the Nikes I had 4 ankle sprains.

Nice cop. Blazers selling for 600+ on stockx. You did online raffle? I tried a raffle for the Yeezy Beluga V2’s but took L’s...just been looking for nice stuff at good prices now. Picked up some Asics Gel Lyte III in the Spice Route colorway and I’m obsessed.

Here are the Ronaldinhos I was talking about. They’re perfection.

I have 5 or 6 pairs that I rotate through from week to week.

I'm way too old to be a cleat nerd, but here we are.

Copa Mundials are the gold standard. Nike cleats are awful

I entered probably 30+ online raffles and took an L on all of them lol.

I got super lucky and hit on SNKRS

They are tucked away in my closet. Gonna sit on em and see if they go up in resale after people sell off the release pairs.

Some upcoming Yeezy restocks if you want some. Should be a bit easier to get em. I’ve hit on the blue tints, V2 belugas and the creams (which were impossible to not cop, like a million pairs).

Did miss on the 700 restock though.

Zebras are restocking in a month or so though.

I loved my adipures more than anything in the world. I need some new cleats. Mine are like 3 years old and wearing down.

Share what you got man!

I'm down to two pairs currently. Diadora's are busted, Evopower 1's are half a size too big, Evopower 3D's busted a lace loop, Premier II's were half a size too big so I sold them to a friend. Down to the Future's and the Tiempo's. Pretty sure I whiffed on sizing with the Tiempo's again too.

Copa's are the OG's...case could be made for the Puma King. Nike's aren't bad. I much prefer Nike and Puma to anything Adidas currently makes.

Damn son. Congrat to you for that W though...you must've been beside yourself lol. Yeah I could've easily gotten the triple whites, but decided not to get them because I had already spent too much on frivolous things for the month (like soccer cleats). I grab a pair sooner or later.

If you prefer leather, the Nike Premier II is really hard to beat. It's a full K leather upper, but it's light weight like most modern cleats. I think u90soccer.com has them on sale for $80 to $90 right now too. I follow SR4U on youtube and instagram for cleat deals. He puts together a thorough list of online sales once a week.

I don't like the feel of the Nike cleats, and my feet always felt fricked up after a game in Nikes. Maybe it's because I was a defensive mid and consistently in fights for possession, but the Nikes felt way too thin.

I always liked Nike CTR360's for playing defense. They were a little more sturdy than the Nike Venoms and such.

I had a pair of Copas that I kicked with in HS and the sole detatched by week two. Then the replacement they sent me were a size too big. I got a pair of Ace 16.1 a couple years ago that I wear for soccer and slowpitch softball and they easily my favorite pair of cleats Ive ever owned in any sport., still holding up great too.

My feet have been getting torn up, but it’s becaue I can’t figure out my size. Went half size up based on online reviews saying the Tiempo’s run small...got mine in and have a bunch of space between my toe and the top of the boot.

Width wise they are fine. I think a lot of people shy away from Nike because they are known to run narrow, but I also think most people who swear they have wide feet actually have normal width feet.

The leather on my Premier II’s and Tiempos is thick enough, no issues there. Even though it likely has little effect, I think my main gripe with a Copas is the sole plate and stud pattern. I much prefer something more modern and a little stiff/responsive.

Diadora Brasils were my favorite.

I also had to have these bad boys. Took me all summer cutting grass to afford them.
