When I make chili I also use small chunks of beef cubed in it along with the cooked down ground meat. If the ground meat is a bit clumpy, I'm not put off by it. But I'm not talking about large chunks, more like 3/8" square or so.

This is me as well. Small sugar cube-size pieces of beef and sometimes pork too. Only time I want it with no lumps or chunks is for hot dog chili.
