If my memory serves me correctly, I believe Moore played a mere two plays against Florida, both 3rd and longs and helped the defense get off the field.

I did a search but didn’t see anything, has O addressed his lack of snaps from this past week?

I thought he did well in getting in the backfield on one play, and the other he showed good speed in pursuing Franks down the field.

Obviously tough to play a guy that only knows how to rush the passer (we really can’t teach the guy another handful of plays?) but he definitely looks the part of an edge rusher.

I thought he was on the field a good bit more than that, but was basically a ghost out there. I’ve really been disappointed with his lack of production. I think the plan was for him to come in and immediately provide a consistent pass rush. And that was before KC went down. I’m not sure what the deal is, if he’s been hurt, not picking up the defense, or was never as actually athletic and SEC ready as he appears to be. Hope he can step up—Lord knows we need him to.

We were playing a Mullen team. A Mullen who absolutely killed us on the edge last year, especially against Chaisson who was too inexperienced to keep leverage.

In my mind, and I may be way off, the fear of someone too inexperienced to be able to make the necessary reads/plays against a Mullen RPO might be the reason there.

On one hand we were going against Franks, who is no Dak or Fitzgerald. On the other hand, Mullen attacked the edges regularly and at times successfully.

In the end, we had 5th yr Srs giving up the edge anyway late in the game.

There has to be someone on this team who can line up from anywhere on the field in passing downs and bring pressure. Someone who has speed. They don't have to be big either. Those smaller fast guys are hard to block.

I only remember two plays. The first two series for Florida

He got close to Franks pretty fast on Florida’s opening drive.

I thought he flashed. But maybe I missed him later on?

Well, wtf? We sign a JUCO pass rush specialist and he can’t get on the field for more than 4 plays in a game we desperately needed a pass rush. Did they just mis-evaluate him like they did Traore?

I think they believe he can’t handle the playbook

This is a guy they had in camp that they wanted badly

Saban used to always say, got a guy with a talent but can’t get him on the field, just teach him one thing to get him on the field.

Going into Week 7. If he can’t play more than four snaps, that’s an indictment on the staff.

Agreed. Poor evaluations on Traore and inability to develop others is hurting. It's gonna show up the next 3 games.

He only played a few (less than 5) plays vs. Florida in what was his first action of the year.

I expected to see him get on the field WELL before the Florida game, but evidently he hasn't picked up the defense. That said, some of that falls on the coaches. If by game 5 a player at a position of need hasn't "picked up the defense" then the coaches may not be communicating it effectively.

He seems like you prototypical 4-3 DE while LSU is currently in some mish-mash 3-4 maybe without the right talent to execute it to the fullest.

I think they see Moore as a pass rush specialist only, they probably dont see him as a guy who can drop into coverage or play the run. Basically, only putting him on the field when it's 3rd and long and the other team has to pass.

I honestly think our best pass rusher is Divinity. They need to move him to that buck linebacker position or whatever they call it.

I’ve been saying the same thing. I think
He graded out the best. They need to abandon it and make him a rusher we need one desperately.

Our best pash rusher is our best safety too.
Our O line was good with Chassion forcing plays to Devin, Alexander, Fehoko and Lawrence. He made them all look good.
Without chassion we are seeing how mediocre our interior is. Even worse, they forgot how to tackle on Saturday. Scarlett owned our Linemen

Moore looks like a better pass rusher than Anthony or Thornton, honestly
