It’s been like this since they started playing night games. I’ve never heard the reason. Any of you Cubs fans have insight?

No outfield lights. Ive been to Coors and Wrigley this year and the difference in person is very noticable

City of Chicago has some pretty strict rules about night games at Wrigley. Probably has something to do with that.

I lived near there right before the lights.
I think the neighborhood objected to turning night to day.
I infer from.all that a reduced effect was required.

They try to keep that stadium as old and original as possible. They dont have shitloads of lights all over. Very few of them and i like the older park.
I dont think they even played a night game there until the late 80's.
Its a great stadium though and I hope they leave it alone
