Per OTB:

quote:

"I think he's going to be fine. He's a little bit better than I thought he'd be," Orgeron said. "I expect him to play Saturday."

Dang. That's excellent news. I wasn't sure what "very questionable" meant.

Honestly I think we’re fine at Florida either way. He’s a must play for Georgia though.

The concern about Cush being out is that a true freshman would start at center and having to make OL calls which is very important. But even a bigger concern was that there is absolutely no backup if the true frost got hurt. I have no idea who the coaches would put in at center if that happened.

Oh it’s definitely a concern. I’d rather the true freshman get playing time during a game against Florida, and Cush be ready for Georgia, than Cush re aggravate an injury at Florida forcing our true freshman to start against the #2 team in the country.

I'd be willing to bet they have Lewis go off to the side and snap to both Brennan and Burrow quite a bit every day this week, including shotgun snaps, just in case that would occur (IF Cush wasn't playing this week).

Playing with fire withholding starters on the road versus an SEC opponent. If they don’t feel he’s ready to play then they’ll hold him like Charles, but otherwise they should play him.
