I've played it a couple times. I see they've fixed some issues that were pretty awful in the Beta.
I play seasons online mostly. The through ball passing has improved a lot on first impression. I haven't figured out timed finishing online. I'll have to play a little more I guess.
Overall, seems like an improved game.

Hows the pace disparity?
I too play mostly online seasons, and in 18, it felt like 90% of the time I played against Real Madrid and with Bale/CR7 wingers 1 through ball and they're sprinting past everyone for a goal. Took no skill.

Not sure yet. I think it was FIFA 16 had the worst disparity IMO and it was easy to get breakaways. I felt they tempered that in 17 too much, and in 18, they added some of that back in.

This is my first time getting FIFA in about 5 years. My last system was Xbox360, but I got a Switch earlier this year. I'm looking forward to getting back into it again. It used to be a daily addiction for me and my roommates. My current roommates, wife and toddler, probably won't be as into it.

CPU whoops my arse this year and Ive always been a Division 1/Legendary. I have no clue whats going on with the timed finishing thing but Ive seen some insane goals so I feel like I need to learn. Also anyone is on Proclubs for PS4? Im trying that out this year
