First off, I am a huge LSU fan and I am watching the game right now, but all I can think about is getting my business to stand out. I own an advertising agency in Shreveport, really I serve all of the Arlatex and Louisiana, but I am struggling. I am a 23 year old entrepreneur that is struggling to find businesses to support my dream. I don't know what to do, it seems as if every business I talk to isn't interested in hearing how online advertising can not only change their business but truly separate them from their competitors. Do the great people of Tigerdroppings have any advice for a young entrepreneur?

Find out who is in charge of Gordon McKernon’s advertisting budget. Get that client and your advertising agency is set

I understand that this is the right place, because I know that the majority of this website is accomplished and thriving. My question is how can I make my business stand out, or better yet, how can I find businesses whom want to expand their reach and capture their areas attention? Like I said, I am struggling. I can barely pay the bills, but I believe in this business so I won't stop with what I am doing

Can you post a link to your website and your personal email address (not work email) so I can send you some pointers?

I own an insurance agency and I own a very small digital marketing business, which has less than a half dozen clients.

I suggest doing three things:

1. Have a GREAT website
2. Know the figures for your market (say you're speaking with a florist...KNOW how many searches for "x" miles done in the past thirty days were for flowers)
3. Undercut your competition in prices. The only reason I began the marketing agency was I became tired of my friends and neighbors getting ripped off.

The best advice I can give you is something you probably already know...

To be successful in something that so many other companies are doing already, you're going to have to want it more.

That means building relationships, constantly networking, and treating the business like your life depends on it. Every waking hour spent thinking and working on the business... it's not a job you can come home and forget at 5pm on weekdays.

Well you see, I started this business because I haven't seen an effective agency in the Shreveport/Bossier area. I saw a market and I took a risk

One problem I see are swastikas in your logo.

Duh.

I've changed my logo multiple times, I am still trying to find one that works. Do you have any advice for an advertising logo?
