Baton Rouge through and through. Have no doubt great things awaited him after LSU and basketball. Hope his family can one day find some comfort in the good will he spread before he left.

Such a shame. I’m a new father. I can’t imagine what his parents are going through.

Such a heartbreaking occurrence to lose a young man so tragically. My condolences to his family and friends.

I don’t know how you could go on after that. Especially if you don’t have other kids.

Such a tragedy.

So sad. I wish there was a way we could stop these senseless shootings in our city but reality is that a lot of people in this city do not care or respect human life. Same goes for New Orleans. These people are just animals no other way around it

Hopefully his family and friends can find God's peace in this horrible situation.

Wayde was Baton Rouge and LSU through and through.

To me it all boils down to the breakdown of the family structure and divine purpose for our lives.

Such a loss. He was such a gritty and high motor player. He’s the type of kid thats instrumental in rebuilding a program that’s been a sleeping giant. He did a lot of things well for this club and I only expected him to get better. Big loss for the tiger family.

Rest in peace, Wayde. Can't wait to see how LSU dedicates this season to him. I'm thinking retire his number and a nice patch on the uniforms all season to keep his memory alive and give something his parents can be proud of and remember forever (obviously besides his life.)
