Transfer just coz you got benched?!?!? Not liking the precedent this is setting. You look at the 2 QBs from LSU that transferred before the season...it seems like the "compete for the job" mentality is disappearing fast. They want to play and play now. Thoughts?

It’s going to happen more often with the new redshirt rule.

These are five star atheletes that are playing for their future. Let them go where they want to try to showcase their skills.

It not a new trend. It’s been this way for years . QB’s either play or they transfer. It’s reality. You don’t have to like it. It’s benefiting LSU now, so it goes both ways.

So?

This is America, right? That's what all yall on this board spout. Man can do what he wants.

It has nothing to do with the "competitive mentality" being gone. If the climate was like this in the 40's, 50's, and 60's shite would be the same. As much as yall hate it people have been this way for the entirety of human history.

I'm all for a 4th string QB with no realistic shot of getting any playing time transferring. But transferring just coz you got BENCHED?!?! That seems crazy!

I would transfer too. Why would I sit on the bench the rest of my career after the coaches made clear they prefer the other guy?

BTW, if Burrow thought the way you did he would be sitting on the end of OSU’s bench instead of leading the Tigers. Who would that help, besides Auburn and Miami?

Leaving mid season is new bc of the new redshirt rule. It's going to be interesting how coaches manage this going forward.

All of this especially if you can finish your college days playing.

This may aid in leveling the playing field to balance the talent level across college football! For the great teams that have cornered the market on recruiting this will diminish their advantage.

Just curious, haven't followed Clemson that closely this year. What didn't he do as starter to be benched? Seems did pretty well last year, and undefeated this year. So, I am not in the loop. Anyone know what prompted Dabo to make the switch?

Every Young college QB thinks he is an All-American until they get hit in the mouth. The two QB’s that left LSU did the right thing for our program. If you don’t have the talent then go play at Lamar or Angelo State. LSU is big boy football.

Clemson has a stud freshman that they think is better. It was the right time to make the call so Bryant could consider transferring.

I give Dabo credit here for not being a dick. He could have screwed Bryant by starting him one more game.

Because the other guy is one bad play away from getting injured and them I'm right back in the game?

And if they weren’t, it’s because they were too stupid to have a mind of their own and just followed the status quo like sheeple.

Like Saban is stringing along Hurts (just in case Tua gets injured).

Don't blame them, I would to if given t he chance. As an athlete I would look at it as they quit on me not I quit on them.
They don't believe in me, I want believe in them.
