Best Tailgating Spot for 1st Timer

So I realize this runs the potential of starting a great debate... but my wife and I are going to our first LSU game ever on Saturday. We just moved into the area as she took a job at the University. We are looking for the best tailgating spot for first timers (meaning a place we could actually get a spot at on gameday). Thanks in advance!

Are you looking to setup your own tailgate or one to just join in on the festivities?

Indian Mounds no question... buses with players come by and the band marches right by. Easy walk down to the stadium.

Yes... I'm from SC and my wife and I met in undergrad there. Am now an LSU Tigers and SC Gamecocks fan... Why not?

We're probably just looking to join in the festivities this time. We really don't know anyone yet.

Find the best tailgate accumulation of fans and crash. You will be welcome even with USC apparel on. After you learn the lay of the land you can get involved with your own tailgating. BUT, if new to the area and from SC, you may remember the Duke AD and the lacross team. Well guess what, we have him now and he is whoring out the LSU tailgating scene.

We'll be in full LSU garb. I actually came close to attending and we've already fully adopted it!

It's just the two of us. We really don't know anyone yet. Looking for a place to park that won't break the bank but isn't miles away and where we should go for the best scene. I'll have to find somewhere decent to do some pregaming.

Corner of Tower and Stadium dr across from the Dairy Store. Come hang out. We have everything you need and everything your wife wants.

Have your wife wear something very revealing. You'll be treated very well.

Find the best sale on a 70 inch TV and skip the hassle. More trouble than it is worth these days.

Find one place to be your home base and then walk around campus exploring what all there is the offer. If your wife has keys to a building, bring them so you have restroom access.

I can vouch for this area. Great place to make it your “home base” and then walk around a bit. If you get there early enough park for free just a couple blocks away near Parker.

My tailgate is on the Old Front Nine under a big oak. Look for a Krewe of Commotion flag flying. We would be glad to have you.

There's a nice tailgate directly across from the VetMed building, down Skip Bertman, by the levee. Free parking next to VetMed. Lot 407 is where the tailgate is located, which is a pay lot. The tailgate is right next to the entrance of 407...to the right when facing the lot. Good food, good music, and good people. Just say salty sent you.
