And to think our tax dollars went toward rebuilding that $hat hole of a city

The real question is .... why do people care about this?
Care enough to change it in the first place? Or care after it’s been changed?
Who cares!

Is no melt. I grew up in the city and had the good sense, along with the other sensible people and businesses, and got the heck out. It use to be a fabulous place, nowhere close to her past glory days.

If she wouldn't have made a press release no one would have ever known.

You grew up in the 1800s?

"Symbolism instead of substance" is a huge problem with black activism. Let's get rid of statues. Let's darken the city seal. Let's kneel at the national anthem.
Have they cured or mitigated any of the major plagues of the black community? No.
The KKK could do a better job of hurting the black community - "Let's keep them focused on symbols so that we never have to deal with any substantive issue."

That’s my issue. Why is she focused on this type of matter and why is she tweeting about it? Just like giving keys to the city to Jay Z.
I would rather read tweets and press releases about things that she’s doing that affect me.

I think she is able to focus on more than one area.
Infrastructure seems to be the highest thing on her list honestly.

Other stuff is too hard
Today her excuse for using the City credit card for racking up thousands of dollars in personal charges was “everyone else does it”.
Typical

That was the excuse during the campaign. Makes one wonder why Bel Edwards and the State agencies are protecting the council.

What has she actually accomplished? Something to be so proud of that she would Tweet about it?
Besides changing the seal and giving the Keys of the city away?

She spent more money than all of them.
