Burrow’s play thus far is similar to Mett in 2012 in my opinion. He improved a ton in 2013

This is true. Mett wasn’t lighting it up until Alabama that first full year. If anything, burrow looks a little bit better so far.

Great talk. Saying that I don't care about the reason the offense sucks is because they are all excuses. This is O's second year and he is putting up the same offensive stats as Les. Drops and throwaways are not going to disappear from this team suddenly when we play Alabama.
Alabama has won multiple titles and they have evolved offensively and we are the same exact team even after firing our coach for not evolving.

Think about what Mett had around him vs what Burrow does right now.
This offense is riding on Burrow’s back (SWIDT) thus far. Mett had an outstanding running game to lean on and had the benefit of two of the best WRs we’ve had here when he was slinging it.
While his arm talent was obviously better Burrow has shown all of the other qualities of a great quarterback in spades so far, and his arm talent is bad either.
Think back to Mett’s first four games, including who he played against, and tell me how Burrow isn’t off to a better start.
When it’s all said and done I think Burrow will be regarded higher than Mett.
