I'm sure the Creedmoor is a good cartridge, but I hate it. It's just the newest fad right now. Maybe it will last, but it doesn't do anything that other cartridges haven't done before it.

Both cartridges will perform fine.

I agree but I think it will stick around for awhile. Its pretty efficient for long range but other calibers can compete with it. Like you said, Its just the newest fad so anyone that gets one thinks they now have a 1000yd rifle when the truth is, any center fire cartridge from 223 on up is capable of 1000yds.

In fact the top 4 shooters in the PRS last year used 243 and 6.5cm. They were equal. 1st place 6.5cm, 2&3rd 243, 4th place 6.5cm.

Its all personal preference because it doesnt do anything better.
