Obviously...these poor people were probably poor before the recession, were relatively poorer during, and are now back to being pre-recession poor.

This. Many people cannot be fixed. They are lazy, can't manage money, and don't have the initiative to take advantage of opportunities that surround them. "Poor" is a relative term. There will always be those with less and those with more. Life ain't fair. Quit bitching and get to work.
