i think it forces the coaches to try spreading the field and using quick passes to help our atrocious line...that's my hope anyway

I agree, but instead their response to SLU was to go max protect and run 2 WR routs agaisnt 4 DBs.

If they cant make good adjustments against SLU, why should we believe they can outscheme an elite SEC defense?

I'll move on when the coaches show they're capable of putting something better on the field. What exactly gives you confidence that we're going to see something completely different this week?

We don’t have a dominating OL with a lot of depth, this isn’t happening. It’s unrealistic to expect blowout wins this year

Look, we may not blow out SEC competition, but the depth SHOULD be plenty good enough to DOMINATE SLU. But what happened? In an entire half-15 plays, 62 yards.

There is no way to spin that into a positive

4wr and quick passing game probably wasn't even in the gameplan for SLU...if it isn't in the gameplan you likely won't see it.

Right, because why work on what is supposed to be an integral part of your offensive scheme when you have the chance? Let’s just go out there and wing it! Geaux!

Bc (A)looked more than capable vs much better competition week before.

(B) we have most of our guys back and have had time to re-evaluate a position or two.

You asked.
I answered.

It's funny because I keep asking this very question and none of them can answer it.

Just one reason why they feel so confident. And the best they can do is "well, E is sleeping in the office" or "just a vanilla game plan last week". Please.

Meh...not really. This has been debunked already in this thread.

Did we though? Or were we just he beneficiary of short fields from terrible special teams, as well as a big run from an audible.

Well, let's hope shuffling players around going into a very hostile environment is the answer.

The gameplan may not have included going 4 wide against SLU...why? idk because to me that's when you practice things you will likely need against SEC defenses. We have been told we would see a 4wr offense and I don't recall seeing that formation once...I've seen 3wr 1te but I am trying to be somewhat optimistic that they will finally try spreading the offense...i've wanted this for years.

The lack of penalties this year is a nice change and shows the team has grown in discipline.

This is how I know you're full of shite. Were the 11th penalized team in the conference we average 73 yards a game. There are only 3 teams worse in our conference.

Do some research before you spew bull shite to fit your narrative.

You do realize this is part of the game right?
Special teams and defense dictate short fields, is O get credit for those two aspects of the team?
Audible?
God forbid the Qb make a call at the los that has a direct positive impact on moving the fricking football downfield .

Dude if you only knew how dumb and biased that makes you look to post that, you’d delete it before other people read it.

You also realize that the offense didn't manufacture those yards, which is what we're discussing.

Audible?

Do you deny that didn't happen?

I will never delete anything from here, and if people like you think I'm dumb, it just means I'm right.

true but let's be honest other than the 90+ yard drive against SLU our offense hasn't really done much...and that ended with a successful hail mary...hardly something that should be called a drive.

Yeah, but SLU was not a very inspiring opponent. I can understand the lack of urgency there.

Good coaches don't allow for ebbs and flows in motivation for opponents. That is why the good coaches destroy shitty teams.

So did they manufacture the yards on the audible? Short fields?
I mean does it only count in your mind if we go 93 yards in 14 plays eating up half a quarter?

I’m failing to understand your logic of why somehow or another audibles aren’t considered a positive and part of a good offense.

Plus you didn’t answer my question.... does O get credit for other areas of the team?

Bro I'm just trying to be the slightest bit optimistic. My honest opinion is this offense and Steve E will get arse raped by most SEC defenses.

Every person in the country admits LSU dominated Miami.

Not you though.

0 gets credit for everything that happens with the team. That includes the shortcomings that are glaring to everyone but the blind cheeri0s.
