Maybe they didn’t want him in a weak academic setting...
Or maybe Terrebonne wasn’t gonna hire Dad to get the son to play for them.
Or maybe he knew that he wasn’t going to beat out the Terrebonne QB
Dad ain’t worried about education, he’s worried about showcasing his kid and Hahnville is a higher profile than Terrebonne

Did anyone hear the Bonine interview? He sounded less educated and harder to understand than Bobby, Garic, and hell, throw Deke in there for good measure.
Maybe he's just not used to doing interviews, but he sounded bad. What I was able to gather...
1) He had no idea about VC offering financial aid if the kid stayed
2) He mentioned that a "form" had inaccurate information on it, and that form was signed by the school
3) He practically admitted that he thought the kid's punishment should have been less, and Salt's punishment more. However, he is bound by the rules and codes laid out by the principals.
4) The "investigators" the LHSAA uses are retired principals with no specialized investigating experience. They just rely on whatever "investigation" skills they picked up when they were principals.
It's pretty difficult to accept that decisions on items like this are being based on information gathered by former principals.
5) In three years they have had over 1100 (don't recall exact number) investigations on player eligibility, and something like 82 percent of the time, the player is deemed eligible.
6) They currently have 999 transfer cases pending. In a association that has roughly 400 schools.

Vandebilt response tonight
I know that most don’t catch H TV, but the diocese of Houma Thibodaux looks to finally be talking.
No disrespect to the diocese of Houma but, that was ridiculous. He didn't answer a single question. Talked in circles. Except the few times he distanced the diocese from Vanderbilt.

One thing I know about the dad, he will do and say anything to make his boy look good.
And you must not have any kids. Every Father wants the best for his children and why wouldn't he.
I'm sure the Coach at VC will say and do anything to make his self look good too.

Yep that was just a waste of time.

Let's just say for arguments sake that the kid is guilty and the coach of Hawnville is guilty of recruiting the kid.
Explain to me how a kid who can't move his self who's father doesn't have a job is banned for a whole year while the adult coach who recruited him is only going to miss 4 games????

I totally agree he only accepted what was in writing. But it seems to me everyone new months before he was moving! If he was still a student when he asked for the jersey why didn't they give it to him!

Louisiana doesn’t recognize legal separations so they wouldn’t have even had to get anything through the courts saying this. Then after the school year and kid
Dad would have needed sole custody and then a mandated 45 day waiting period
Lindsay scott was under the previous regime - you know the one that gave us the split no comparison

If Bonine enforced rules then he would have enforced the pitch count rule instead of stating "human error"

What would you say If I tell you I'm hearing this kid still has a chance to play in the next couple of weeks... and it's got a lot to do with Vanderbilt and the LHSAA?

Bonine in his interview, basically said he had no power in deciding the penalties, that the are spelled out in the rules. He also seemed to imply, but did not specifically say, that the penalty for the kid was way too harsh.

The only way would be if new evidence came up that warranted a hardship hearing. Which would still be iffy at best - because of the other facts with the case that violated rules - that were not actions of VC - VC didn't create the rules violations.

The Robison dad is not nor has he been listed as a coach at Hahnville - where is he coaching?
