Wait, so Robison's mom claimed Houma was toxic so they had to move.
Yet I see still see them all the time in Houma, and she still sends a younger child to school in Houma. I don't know all about the jersey crap, but this makes me question alot of what they claimed happened, and it also makes it look like their move is not legit if they have one kid in St Charles parish and sending their other kid two parishes away in Terrebonne.

Are you ok with VC admin bullying the kid for transferring even though they may still be sending another kid to terrebone schools? Because that’s kind of what it looks like.

Not at all, Vandy people are dicks everyone on the bayou knows that. Doesn't mean Robison should be eligible if he didn't legit move.

That’s not why they ruled him ineligible though.

So is he cleared to play or what?

It's pretty obvious they think it wasn't a legit move, just look at the questions the committee asked the mom. The jersey stuff is just the easiest to prove cause there is literally a picture of it, and finding him in violation of that accomplishes the same thing as finding them guilty of violating the bona fide move bylaw which they were also accused of violating and requires much less digging.

So let me get this right: the kids dad is employed at hahnville and his brother is still attending school in Houma????
If the above is correct how can anybody disagree with the lhsaa

You know most school districts allow employees kids to go to school in the district even if they live outside of it?
Posted on 9/13/18 at 10:48 pm to rmc
I'm not taking about the rules at the school. But if you don't think hahnville broke the by laws of the lhsaa with this move then I dont know what to tell you. I do feel that the coach and the school got off easy. They both should have a penalty that is equal to the student athlete.

Not the point, they said they had to move out of Houma because it was toxic there, yet they still send their kid to school there when St Charles has some of the best schools in the state. Then they are renting an apartment. It don't take a genius to see what's up. Andrew is at Hahnville for athletic purposes and as soon as he's done there they gone pecan.
If you want to be naive then go for it, but everything about this stinks. I feel bad for the kid, he seems like a great kid, but his family has bungled this from the jump. His dad running his mouth in every newspaper that will listen, having the little social media guy that is so far up Andrew's butt say he moved to Hahnville to get more exposure, the jersey thing, the head coach informing the dad of a job opening, the "legit" move while sending his little brother two parishes away to go to school.

Didn’t vandy say they wanted the kid to be eligible to play for HHS and they were gonna propose some other type of punishment. What happened with that?

Maybe your wife should teach him to take a hit

Maybe Andrew was the only one experiencing the "toxic" environment, considering he was the known commodity in the community ( I mean I doubt the coach is gonna bully the lil brother, because his older brother transferred). If what he said is true of his experience with the coach and teammates, I would consider that a toxic environment. Besides you yourself admit that St. Charles has high education standards, so why is it such a stretch to believe that he left with his dad to have an opportunity for both "athletics" and "academics".

The rules need to be changed. You can't expect a 17 year old kid to continue playing for a school that just fired his father. The whole "move for athletic purpose" language in the rules is dumb as hell because you can't really prove it. Why does it matter why they moved anyway? If they live in a schools attendance zone he should be eligible to play at that school.

quote:actually it is not, not if the the kid was already in the school and it was not used as an inducement. Many private schools have programs(legal) to help families in economic distress with tuition.
She alleged soon after her husband was fired and it became clear Andrew wished to leave, Vandebilt offered Drew a job as a volunteer coach and Andrew could remain at the school tuition free, which would be in violation of LHSAA rules and that "we wanted no part of that."
Does anyone know why his dad was fired?

I agree because like you said the sending school will always claim they are moving for athletic purposes. Lhsaa basically ignores the parents and or facts of the case if the sending school makes the claim. They hardly make the best decision for student. False narratives by butthurt sending schools always take precedent over truth and facts
