You were calling that Pats offense awesome on here a couple months ago because they were rolling everyone.

Belichick's actually lost to a number of worse QBs than Eli in the AFC Playoffs.
2015- Lost to the corpse of Peyton Manning
2012- Lost to Joe Flacco at home
2010- Lost to Mark Sanchez at home!
2009- Lost to second year Joe Flacco at home. Flacco had a measly 34 passing yards for the entire game.
2005- Lost to Jake Plummer
2015 Broncos , historic type Denver D and was on the road in Denver, place the pats have been cursed really for their entire history.
2012 Flacco had one of the single greatest post season runs in NFL QB history.
2010 Jets, bizarre, bizarre game, the Welker benching cost them the game.first drive of the game, Pats with ease move down the field, then Brady, without his safety net, forces a pass to a lesser receiver and it gets picked. Pats never recovered and it gave Jets all the life they needed.
2009 Ravens, as above said, worst team of the BB/Brady era (besides 2002). Ravens just madnhandled them. I believe welker had just torn his all too.
2005 Denver, again Denver curse, plus the bizarre no touchback return Interception.
In saying that, the only true beating they've ever taken in the playoffs was from the Ravens in 2009. They had not chance in that game,
2012 Ravens kind of dominated them too.

I know Eli has his ups and downs but 6th all time pass yards and 7th all time passing touchdowns doesn't just roll out of the bed.
I can't wait for the melt when he gets into the HOF.

Link?
I can’t imagine talking about the 2010 season on here, I try to block out that loss out of reality

And y'all had just beaten the Jets like 45-3 a few weeks earlier.

That's the playoffs for you. The 15-1 Packers lost by 17 to the 9-7 Giants at home the next season after they'd already beaten them on the road a few weeks prior.

At the time, that outcome was one of the most improbable things that occurred that season next to Tebow's playoff win over Pittsburgh due the Packers' incredible W-L record and A-Rod's legendary season. However, a few weeks prior, the Packers prevailed over the G-Men at Met Life in a close game then plus their defensive unit that season was a liability statistically, came home to roost that January day in Lambeau for them unfortunately.

That third time playing a team is usually a wonky one. Great gameplan by Rex

Moss didn't leave NE until 2010.

That was a weird, weird game. Pats had a shitload of first half turnovers and were down 24-0 in the blink of an eye. I think Rice went for an 87 yard TD on Baltimore's first play from scrimmage. Baltimore did knock out a 13-3 Titans team the next week as well. Their defense was filthy
I thought the Ravens win over the 13-3 Titans was in 2008? Then they fell to Pittsburgh in the AFCCG.
Baltimore’s win over NE that you referenced in ‘09 was followed by their own loss in the divisional round. The AFC title game in ‘09 was the Colts over NYJ.

Eli is a hall of famer

He still sucks. They will miss the playoffs for 8 of the 9 years.

Eli is really the best Manning, undefeated in the only game that counts
Posted on 9/12/18 at 7:55 am to FourThreeForty
the Patriots are 5-3 in super bowls and none were blowout wins or blowout losses
they could just as easily be 8-0 as they could be 0-8
they could just as easily be 8-0 as they could be 0-8

Not surprising considering each of their Super Bowl wins was by the skin of their teeth

But they aren’t. I hate this hypothetical game that always gets brought up.
