Been going down for twenty years. People just don’t watch beauty pageants anymore. No one cares if they wear a swimsuit or not because no one tunes in.

Who watches this drivel? I can understand it if you're a 13 year old boy in 1960.. but if you want to see a girl in bikini just let Google do it for you, and you won't have to listen to their dumbass opinions on the world

It is why ratings have been tanking for the last several decades.
The removal of the bikini contest was a desperate attempt to gain interest. It failed because nobody cares about pageants anymore.

The left? Judging by the comments here, and by reality, I’d say that right wing folks don’t circle pagent broadcast days on their calendars either.

As an institution, this pageant is a relic from a long ago era. Bathing suits, night gowns and SJW questions aren’t the issue. As consumers, we are no longer stuck exclusively with network TV and three options. People watch other cable TV, sports and stream movies.
This pageant just doesn’t hold any appeal as we, as consumers, have better options available. Honestly, I didn’t even know this was on TV the other night.

I have always been at least curious as to how my home-state representative fared and what she looked like.
Feminists have killed the feminine mystique completely.
Between #MeToo, women wanting to be men, ridiculous assertions like '1 out of 3 college coeds are raped', and any and every minor critique of a woman is 'sexist'...
Screw that. Makes me thankful to be married!! NO PICS!

What an incredibly outdated statement. This isn't 1983 anymore. The only people that still watch pageants are young girls and old women. They are not watching solely for the bikini contest.
