Are most on here developing their own diets, basing off internet searches or following a plan? Very interested in this.

quote:i can’t be that strict to maintain full ketosis so my diet avoids carbs and sugars if at all possible, eat lots of vegetables while limiting protein. I am not concerned at all with fat intake and trying to limit it.

I run about 10-12 Miles per week and do circuit training twice a week.

I don’t follow a plan. Just cut out the sugar and starches. I haven’t had an alcoholic drink since i started.

6 wks ago I started a plan to drop weight to look better in pics for a trip the wife and I are taking w friends to Paris and Normandy that includes the Ryder Cup. Vanity is great motivation I guess. We leave in 3 weeks and I'm at 168 from a starting weight of 193.
I've never had a problem fasting down a pound a day using an insane regimen of 500 cal/day w riding a stationary bike 16 miles in an hour. The problem has been keeping it off. So I lost 23 lbs in 27 days, staying fully hydrated, then switched to a true keto diet.
I've been on the keto diet, not counting calories at all, for 2 weeks, and have lost an additional 2 lbs, eating bacon, steaks w fat, avocados, almonds, pork rinds, salads, and meat and cheese trays with red wine. I do not go hungry and snack a lot.
Start every morning w some butter coffee w MCT oil my wife prepares. Still park in front of Astros games on my bike for an hour doing 16 miles and 5 sets of 10 situps and pushups w no rest between.
At this time I have no plan to workout/body build, just want to maintain the weight that will allow me to wear the nice clothes my wife bought me for this trip. LOL
ETA- Oh, and I have been drinking 5 Michelob Ultras per round of golf the last 2 weeks too
