The experience was very similar in Jan ‘04 when we played OU in some for the NC. The OU fans were well represented and much louder than I anticipated and their bands pregame got them really fired up. But when the GBFTL came out and hit those first 4 notes, the sound was deafening and blew away the Sooners. I will never forget the excitement and emotion of that moment- the goosebumps and watery eyes!

I was in law school during that period. Great times in Tiger Stadium. The band was #1 back then.

And never mention the GBFTL in the same breath as the Human Noise-making Machine.
