Beta O’Rourke campaign denies sending texts encouraging illegal voting

A spokesman for Rep. Beto O’Rourke’s (D-Texas) campaign denied that text messages sent to Texan voters asking for help transporting "undocumented immigrants" to polling stations were sent on behalf of the campaign, The New York Times reported.
The denial comes after the Times reported that text messages claiming to be from an O’Rourke volunteer named Patsy were sent to voters in Texas on Wednesday night, asking for help in transporting "undocumented immigrants" to polling stations so that they could vote.
“That was not an approved message by the campaign,” Chris Evans, a spokesman for Mr. O’Rourke, told the Times.
Evans added whoever sent the text was “not a Beto volunteer,” and said the sender was an "impostor," the Times reported. Evans added that O'Rourke's campaign was looking into how the messages were sent.
The O'Rourke campaign did not immediately reply to a request for comment from The Hill.
‘We are in search of volunteers to help transport undocumented immigrants to polling booths so that they will be able to vote. Would you be able to support this grassroots effort?”

Why do Dems always cheat and lie?

Why? There’s a video of Obama plainly saying it. Why back up now?

So someone started sending these texts impersonating a Beto volunteer to make him look bad? The Texas GOP has been running a smear campaign for the last month or so pretty hard. I actually saw a Ted Cruz sign in someone's yard for the first time last week.

Of course Boozin' Beto will deny. He's a NASTY guy.

Sorry beta disowned your texts. Hopefully you can still find people to help you bring illegals to the polls

I bet Beto relates to his constituency by saying he was tossing back Tecates prior to his DUI

I would never support non citizens voting for any public office.

Oh you silly Democrats.

Common sense dude. No campaign would ever send messages out about this. Use your brain.

The only silly people in this situation are those who believe it was done by his campaign.

Wow it's almost like the person who sent out the text message knows that...come on man.
