It's surprising that it got so popular in the first place. It's just receding back to the niche sport that it is.

Well if a top 3 team and defending champion can't get a sponsor, NASCAR is in serious trouble.

I completely agree with this. It was extremely bizarre that NASCAR suddenly became like this national thing and tons of media coverage.

Unless you are a racing geek who cares about little details and stuff, it's so freaking boring.

I can understand how a casual fan can watch a football or basketball game, I have no idea how a casual fan could watch cars drive in circles for 3 hours.

Jeff Gordon was the Tiger Woods of NASCAR, and Dale Earnhardt was like Nicklaus.

Imagine golf’s popularity if prime Tiger was battling still in prime Jack.

That was NASCAR. Now Gordon and Sr. are both gone.
