I cut my teeth chasing accuracy in the short-range benchrest game.
Since the 6PPC is the most accurate cartridge developed,
I "micro-sized" the case for the perfect combination of Lapua brass, Vhitavhouri N133, and Berger Match bullets.
Parent case is the 220 Russian, basically neck down to .17 caliber and bump shoulder back -.180".
I load at the range using Wilson hand dies

cartridges L to R ... 221 Fireball - 17 LN - 6PPC no neck turn - 6PPC neck turned - 220 Russian

load data - 21.5 grs of powder equals tiny groups

17LN with a 15 lb groundhog (barely fit in a 5 gal bucket) shot at 350 yds

I also created a .20 caliber version

Very cool! It's amazing how accurate those short & fat cartridges are. Although I'm not a benchrest shooter (and never will be), I'm familiar w/ the short & fat cartridges as I prairie dog hunt w/ Remington XP 100 handguns chambered in 22 BR and 6 BR. That's some great shooting, GB! I'm jealous.
