Almost sounds like a skit.

MSNBC contributor and Georgetown University sociology professor Michael Eric Dyson issued a scathing attack on President Donald Trump at the funeral for Aretha Franklin Friday, but also castigated former President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama.
“You dopey doppelgänger of deceit and deviance!”
In a sermon-like eulogy, Dyson praised the iconic singer for using her enormous talent to advocate for social issues. “She was black girl magic before there was black girl magic,” he told a receptive audience.
Then he launched into a vociferous invective against the president for his comments upon news of Franklin’s death.
“And then this orange apparition had the nerve to say she worked for him!” Dyson told the audience. “You lugubrious leech! You dopey doppelgänger of deceit and deviance! You lethal liar, you dim-witted dictator, you foolish fascist!”
“She ain’t work for you!” he exclaimed. “She worked above you! She worked beyond you! Get your preposition right!”
“Then he got the nerve to say he gonna grab it!” Dyson continued. “That ain’t what Aretha Franklin said – I’mma give you something you can feel.”
“Like the brothers in the streets say, tap lightly! Like a woodpecker with a headache!” he concluded.
“That’s why some black folk aren’t here today…”
Dyson did not hold back from criticizing the Obamas for not showing up to the funeral however.
“She was about transforming the existence of black America!” Dyson said of Franklin. “Now negroes scared to say they black!”
“Scared to show up at a too black place!” he exclaimed to loud applause. “That’s why some black folk aren’t here today. They sendin’ letters, they don’t wanna get up in this blackness!”
“They don’t want to feel the nasty power of this blackness!” he continued. “We are black in Detroit! We don’t care! Take your shoes off! Dip in the water! Get baptized!”

God damn, did that sound as illiterate as it looked in print?

What exactly did Trump say? I'm guessing it was something that Trump thought was respectful but it came off in some way racist to people who are looking to be triggered at every turn in life.

Great example how affirmative action has damaged higher education as bad as the liberal cancer within its ranks.

Dyson is nothing but a race-baiting blowhhard piece of shite.
Notice how he "dumbs down" his speech when speaking to a black audience.

This kind of stupidity is old. When Scott Walker ran for Teddy Kennedy's seat he used his old pick up truck as a prop in TV ads. Professors on MSNBC said a pick up truck is a dog whistle for racism.

Didn't Dyson create Skynet in the second Terminator movie?

Stopped reading at Dyson. He’s an embarrassment to academia.

Dyson uses big words because he thinks it makes him sound smart. It doesn’t.

no he uses big words (and does the preacher voice shite) because he knows his audience and they believe both behaviors show intelligence and leadership. it's a cultural thing. the "big words" stuff is a legacy of the Nation of Islam and its imprinting on black culture during the Civil Rights Era. the preacher voice is obvious. even today, the church is the primary social outlet of black people

Some folk are white, some folk are black, some folk are white trash and some folk are coons.
That folk is a coon.

Or the Wellstone memorial. Instead of honoring and celebrating Aretha’s enormous impact on the world of music and the world in general, this bastard hijacks what should have been a dignified event, and turns it into a vulgar dimocratix pep rally. frick him.
