My mother in law is convinced the game this year is on Saturday in College Station. It says Saturday on both of our schedules but isn't that because TV hasn't announced the move to Thanksgiving night? I remember our Arkansas game always said Saturday and then TV would announce and move it to the Friday after Thanksgiving. My meal depends on this

Your MIL is correct. LSU and A&M play on Saturday. State and Ole Miss have that Thursday night time slot.

I thought when in College Station, it would be on Thanksgiving.

How did I miss that? I thought A&M wanted the Thanksgiving night game at A&M and we wanted the Saturday night game in BR.

They changed that because it's terrible. Games not on Saturday are ALWAYS announced as such before the season when the first few weeks of TV are set and then a few special games that get locked down later in the season (like TWLOCP). Texas A&M gave up on trying to make us their Texas at least in terms of playing on thanksgiving. Which is great because it means I can celebrate thanksgiving and still go to the game. Having it on Thanksgiving is terrible for the atmosphere.

I was one of the few that actually liked playing on Thanksgiving. I miss the Friday after Thanksgiving games too.

That's the argument I have always made with my Aggie wife. Thanksgiving and LSU football just aren't complements. They take away from each other. I'd much rather get to enjoy Thanksgiving traditions then enjoy the entire gameday.

Is that the same thing as a prison wife?

I know LSU was not too happy with the SEC office when they had to play Fla Sat and turn around and play A&M on Thurs after the hurricane fiasco.

In order to play the Thurs game LSU was only willing to do that with a non conf game before.
