I agree, artists from the baby boom generation had genuine talent and created timeless classics that have endured. Why do you think so many “artists” of today have covered so many songs of yesteryear? They recognize quality and accept the fact that they cannot outclass those artists so they just put out a cover version of a hit single.

Those boomer musicians were ripping off poor blues musicians. Get off your hi horse. I have seen great musicians from all era's. The boomer musicians were great....but what bands you heard were limited by the record company contracts. Today, anybody can put out music and yes, a lot of it is crap. But there is a lot of great music out there too. But in the 60's you were guided to what was good by the record companies......now it takes effort to find the good stuff.
